International Students
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
We expect strong scores on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or a similar exam and a statement showing evidence of research and knowledge of our faculty research expertise. We typically do not offer Teaching Assistantships to international PhD applicants; however, international students with sufficient language skills are occasionally supported via GAT awards. Nevertheless, all admitted international students typically receive a Research Assistantship, and thus, if you are an international applicant, you are strongly encouraged to discuss funding options with potential advisors before applying to our program.
