Research Interests

I am interested in the role of atmospheric aerosols in modifications of cloud micro- and macrophysics and cloud dynamics using cloud-resolving model tools. Specifically, I am looking at

1. Aerosol microphysical effects on various cloud systems and its thermodynamic and dynamic feedback;

Aerosol effects on the tropical cyclone development are studied in presence of air-sea interactions via WRF-ROMS coupled modeling;

2. WRF coupled with an aerosol radiative module is applied to investigate impacts of haze on lightning activity as well as PBL properties.
