Current Research

I am currently looking at how BVOC emissions from several species of oak trees vary under different atmospheric conditions.  We have several field sites around Houston where we take leaf-level isoprene measurements, as well as monitor atmospheric conditions.  In addition to these in-situ measurements of isoprene, we have oaks in a chamber in the lab and are measuring emissions in a controlled setting.  In this controlled setting, we are able to assess the emission response due to drought stress, ozone exposure, and heat stress.
