Giving to the Department of Atmospheric Sciences

As I am sure you know, paying for college can be a major financial challenge for students and their families. In order to help our students who have financial needs, we have created a new Atmospheric Sciences Department Endowed Scholarship Fund.

The investment return generated by this fund will be used entirely to help future Aggie meteorologists.

We have set a goal of raising $50,000 for the Scholarship Fund by 2015, which will be the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Department of Meteorology.

This may seem ambitious, but just in the period since 1988, the Department has awarded 605 B.S., 241 M.S. degrees, and 105 Ph.D. degrees. If you do the math, you can see that raising $50k by our 50th anniversary will not be as difficult as it sounds.

Aggies are known for their loyalty and generosity, and with so many former students, I am confident that we will reach our goal.

When you give to Texas A&M, please consider making a donation to our scholarship fund.

Thanks and Gig 'Em,
